WW Meetings Attended: 1
Lbs. Lost: .6
Total Lost Since 7/24/04: 89.4
I had hoped to make it to 90lbs. today, but oh well. I'm frustrated with the way my weight loss has slowed down, but I've been looking at my tracking journals over the past couple of months, and I think I've found the problem.
First, I've taken to eating Lean Cuisines for lunch almost every day, and on Wednesday nights I even have one for dinner. I don't forsee the Wed. pm thing changing all that much because I don't have time to cook a meal when I get home before I go to bellydance class, but I need to only have a frozen dinner for lunch once or twice a week.
Second, my snacks have morphed into almost exclusively carb calories. My body doesn't handle that well, so I know that this has to change.
Third, I'm still not really eating enough vegetables and too much fruit. I do best when I eat 6 servings of veggies a day, plus 1 fruit. I've been eating about 3 servings of veggies on a good day, and two servings of fruit every day.
So, last week's goals first:
1. have 10 flex points left at the end of the week
I actually had 13 left over. \o/!
2. exercise every day--Sa: yardwork, Sun: yardwork, M: Zumba, T & Th: Curves, W: Bellydancing, F: Zumba
I exercised Sat., Tues., Wed. only. :( I did get some walking in everyday, but not a 30 minute fitness walk by any means. The bad thunderstorms we've been having really messed with my Curves schedule this week, too, since my aunt and uncle were gone and I didn't want to leave T all alone in their house during a bad storm. I'm a wimp.
3. drink all my water every day
I drank all my water 6 out of 7 days. \o/!
4. eat 5 servings of vegetables and 1 serving of fruit every day
:( nopey. not even close.
So here are this week's goals:
1. Have 10 flex points left over at the end of the week.
2. Exercise every day.
3. Plan my menus for the whole week, not just a day at a time, and include snacks that are veggie and lowfat cheese based, more than carb based.
4. Only 1 Lean Cuisine lunch and 1 Lean Cuisine dinner this week.
5. Drink all my water.
6. Take my medicine every day and at the proper times.
I have 4 weigh-ins before ELF. I'm going to try to make it to 95lbs. by that last weigh-in, which is about 1.5lbs/week. At my current average loss per week, this will be a challenge, but not outrageous or completely undoable.
Bellydancing class this week was amazing. We finished our choreography, for one thing. It's still a bit rough in places, but we've got the mechanics of the dance down. We still need to smooth it out and make it pretty. I was amazed at how good I felt when we did the final run through, and I realized that I had, in fact, just danced a whole entire dance. I'm sure that the smile I had plastered on my face was completely goofy.
We worked for a long time on hip circles last time, down on the floor on our knees to help us isolate the muscles we were supposed to be using to do the move. I was in agony by the time we finished, and by the end of class my thighs were so fatigued that they were shaking. Good thing I've been working out at Curves and have fairly strong legs, other wise I never would have made it. :) Still, it was great, because now I can do hip circles properly all the way around, not just hitting the sides and front correctly.
As we were all standing around talking and getting ready to leave, one of the other class members came up to me and said, "I just wanted to tell you that you look so graceful when you're dancing." I was so completely floored that for once I couldn't disagree with the compliment and just said "thank you!" I've never been graceful in my life. I've always just been the klutz and the one who tripped over things large, small, and invisible. And the aftermath of this lovely and heartfelt compliment was that I had to quickly leave and ended up sniffling all the way home. I love this class so much, and these ladies who are in it with me. :)

...
OK, that sounded bad. :D
My hip scarf is jingly and coiny, Molly! It makes me v. v. happy to wear it.

*invites Billy omg*I know! Isn't it fun. You can't help but to feel beautiful when you're all dressed up in coins and scarves and jangly things. Exotic.
If I have room, I'll be sure to bring a few extras.
